Policies

  • Referrals

    At this time I am only accepting new patients by referral.  This means that existing patients may refer their friends, family or other folks to me for an appointment.  Please be sure to mention if you were referred by someone when booking an appointment.

  • Appointment Arrival Time

    Please arrive for your appointment 10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This ensures enough time to complete or update forms and for us to discuss the treatment plan for your session. In the event a patient is running late, the session may be shortened in order to maintain the therapist’s schedule and the original treatment time may be charged.

  • Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

    Please notify me as soon as you can if you will be unable to keep your commitment to your scheduled appointment. This allows for optimal and efficient scheduling for all parties involved and I am able to reschedule your appointment with proper communication at your preferred date and time. Many appointments are booked 4-6 weeks in advance.  If you must cancel within 24 hours or after receiving your courtesy text message appointment reminder, you will be subject to the cancellation fee.


    In the event that a patient fails to show up for their appointment without giving notice, they will be charged the full amount for the session they had scheduled. An invoice will be sent to the email address on file.  Future appointments cannot be booked until the balance is paid in full. I reserve the right to refuse future appointments after a no call/no show.

  • Accepted Forms of Payment

    At this time cash and checks are accepted forms of payment.

    No debit/credit cards are accepted at this time.

  • Insurance

    New Leaf Massage Therapy does not offer direct billing to insurance companies, but will happily provide an itemized receipt for the session that the patient can submit to their insurance company for potential reimbursement.


    The patient is responsible for contacting their health insurance provider to verify that massage therapy is a covered benefit and for instructions on how to submit the claim. Payment in full is due at the time of service.

  • Illness

    Please call if you or someone in your household is feeling ill or have had a fever in the last 24 hours. It is in both of our best interests to reschedule your appointment in this case.


    Likewise, please understand if I ask to reschedule your appointment because I'm feeling ill.

  • Extreme Weather

    Winter can be tricky here in CNY and sometimes appointments are cancelled due to snow and ice.  New Leaf Massage Therapy prioritizes the safety of patients & therapist and realizes there are some situations caused by inclement weather.

    Should this occur during a patient's scheduled appointment, they will be contacted via phone or text message to reschedule.
